As a small business we have always been keen to support other local businesses and we pride ourselves in doing our bit for the community. When we were approached by the Essex Wildlife Trust to join as corporate members we had no hesitation to be a part of this essential charity that does great work to protect our wildlife. As well as being a wonderful cause the corporate members scheme is also a great way of connecting with other businesses of like minds. The scheme has been running for some time now and works beautifully for everyone involved. Combining a regular financial commitment to raise funds for the charity whilst setting up a friendly environment for networking amongst businesses with a similar ethos.
The corporate members company listing is wide and varied and has supporters from many industries. Some companies are directly related to the work the Trust undertakes such as garden centres, landscapers and vets. Other companies like ours, who at first glance seem quite removed from the cause but of course we all have at least one connection in common and that is our attitude towards business and community. We contacted several companies through the Essex wildlife membership and was met with a warm responses. All in all we have found this whole experience to be very rewarding.
The magazine we receive monthly keeps us up to date with all the latest information on the charities work and keeps us informed on new companies joining the membership. We recently attended a Essex Wildlife event organised by Old Park Meadow, who are a funeral service company and home to a natural burial ground. This nicely links the charity, and us here at Kiss Chase Creations, as we supply memory boxes to bereaving families. Grant Maton is the contact for the Essex Wildlife trust and he is very passionate about the charity and the corporate membership scheme. We have found him to be invaluable in maximising our potential, with this everybody wins system. We would thoroughly recommend you join and become a part of this great scheme.
